Windows Phone 8 pricing and availability - Everything you need to know

Now that the dust has settled, it's time to take stock and workout the pricey bit. Pricing and availability details were made available at yesterday's event. We touched a bit yesterday on the Nokia Lumia devices and that both are already making their way to the UK. Here's a run-down of who's going to have what:

America

  • Verizon Wireless: Will carry HTC's high-end Windows Phone 8X for $199.99 with a 2-year contract. It will also carry, exclusively, the Nokia Lumia 822 for $99.99 with a 2-year contract. Both of those will be available by Thanksgiving. In addition, Verizon will also carry exclusively the Samsung ATIV Odyssey, available in December. No pricing was specified for the ATIV Odyssey

  • AT&T: Will carry, exclusively, the Nokia Lumia 920. It will also carry the Lumia 820 and HTC Windows Phone 8X. The phones will be available in November but no date or price was specified.

  • T-Mobile: Will carry HTC's Windows Phone 8X for $149.99 for the 16GB version and the Nokia Lumia 810 from $99.99, both with a 2-year contract. They will be available on Nov. 14.

  • In addition, all 65 Microsoft Stores this holiday season will carry all the phones available in the U.S. The phones will also be available via Microsoft's online store. Microsoft Store will carry all devices in all colours.

United Kingdom
  • Everything Everywhere: Will exclusively carry the Nokia Lumia 920 with start at £49.99 plus £41 a month on contract. The Lumia 820 will be free on a £36 a month contract. Both devices will be 4G LTE enabled.

  • O2: Will carry the Samsung ATIV S which will be free on contract at £36 per month. The Lumia 820 will also be available for free on contract at £36 per month. HTC 8X will cost £29.00 plus £36 per month on contract. HTC 8S will be free £21.50 per month on contract.

  • Three UK: Will carry the HTC 8X for £30 plus £29 per month on contract. The HTC 8S will be available but no details were announced.

  • Vodafone UK: Will carry the Lumia 820, 8X and 8S but no pricing details were made available.

  • Phones 4u: Will offer the Lumia 920 for £19.99 plus £46 per month on contract. Will also offers the Lumia 820 for free at £31 per month. HTC 8X for free plus £31.00 per month. HTC 8S for free plus £20.50 per month. SAMSUNG ATIV S for free plus £36 per month.

  • Carphone Warehouse: Will have the Lumia 820, HTC 8X and the HTC 8S but no pricing was announced at the event.
