Windows Phone 8 Features: Texting your current location

October 30, 2012 at 08:45 GMT | By John Williams

With Windows Phone 8, there's no need to remember street names or obscure landmarks. All you have to do is simply attach a map of your location to a text message to let your friends know where you are at if you want to be found.

The features attaches a map with your exact location to the person it's sent to. We suppose this will work when the message is sent to a smartphone using a different operating system, for instance, an iPhone.

You can also attach various other things to a message in Windows Phone 8 such as pictures, video, contacts and voice notes.
