Things on the Microsoft Surface front have been rather quiet since the Redmond giant unveiled their new tablets in June. Well, you are about the hear and see a lot of Surface where ever you are as Microsoft begins a massive advertising campaign that will work to raise consumer awareness about its many upcoming platforms.
The first one of these is an advertisement that aired on national TV last night. Serial leakster, Paul Thurrott, tipped off the new ad premiere time earlier yesterday afternoon on Twitter, and true to form, the ad appeared as expected. However, Microsoft left nothing to imagination by jumping the gun by uploading the ad on their freshly created Surface YouTube account.
The advert - above - shows people clicking in to the touch keyboard and flipping the kickstand out to make a beat. The ad is a highly choreographed and mainly highlights the ability to quickly attach and remove keyboards from the device. Although we think the ad is far much better than the tripe Microsoft has been shelling out lately, it could still be focused more on features and showing prospective buyers reasons to part with their money. All the same, we think it's a great start and cant wait to see the Windows Phone 8 adverts.
BTW, word out on the street is that Microsoft will be revealing pricing and availability of the Surface today. We will let to you know when we find out...
