Microsoft Surface gets official Twitter account and Facebook page

Microsoft has also started to make use of the Facebook profile it set for the Surface. Although the page has seen pretty much minimal action, it has managed to amass 11,000+ likes already. It looks like Microsoft were quick to grab the name as soon as they announced the Surface back in June.

To go with the Facebook page, Microsoft also set up the @Surface account Twitter [see below].

Again, not much has been happening so far as the account has only published two tweets, one linking followers to a playlist of Surface videos and the other promotes the music used in the Surface video. Just like the Facebook page, the @Surface has already got close to 10,000 followers, all within a few hours.

Expect to see a lot of social networking activity as the launch of Windows 8 draws nearer. You can follow @Surface here or like the Facebook page here
