Hands-on the Samsung ATIV S [video]

Having just seen this video, one is somewhat left with a feeling of regret for one's almighty rant about the Samsung ATIV S. Don't get me wrong, Samsung still has a lot to do if they are to capture a healthy chunk of the Windows Phone 8 share as their record of supporting their Windows Phone devices is terrible.

The hands-on video however has left me feeling as though the device is worth a once-over at the very least. GSMArena has somehow managed to get their hands on the device and have produced a decent hands-on video. Unfortunately, the person doesn't appear to have in-depth knowledge of the OS as he just seems to trudge along, stumbling on features by chance.

The video shows how big and beautiful the 4.8" Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is. Expandable memory via SD card slot and the massive 2300 mAh battery make the device an even more attractive proposition. Unfortunately, Samsung is yet to announce availability, but hopefully it will be made available to a many carriers unlike what Nokia is doing with the Lumia 920.

Having seen the ATIV S in action, would you now consider buying it if the Nokia Lumia 920 isn't available from your carrier? Let us know in the comments.
