Whatsapp for Windows Phone no longer available from Marketplace

It appears as though the official Windows Phone multi-platform messaging client Whatsapp has been removed from the Windows Phone Marketplace. Well, maybe the app hasn't been removed from Marketplace as such, because when we tried to access the app via it's deep-link using a Windows Phone, it appeared - minus the download and share option, along side a message that says:

This application is not available for you device. This might be because your phone needs to be updated, the application is exclusive to a different mobile provider, or the app is not available in your region.

Whatsapp for Windows Phone has been regularly updated since in introduction and is probably the best multi-platform messaging application. If you are a regular user of the application we suggest you don't uninstall it for whatever reason and avoid resetting your phone until the app reappears.

We are not aware of the reason why the apps has been taken down at the moment. We have reached out the to developers for an explanation and will update you in due course.
