The London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) today announced that an Olympic Results applications will be available for Windows Phone devices. At present, the application is only available for iOS and Android devices but chief information officer for LOCOG, Gerry Pennell, said a version for Microsoft's platform was imminent:

Our drivers are slightly different from some commercial enterprises and our remit as an organising committee is to engage with as many people as possible through as many channels as possible, so that's driven our need to be as inclusive as possible.
It certainly makes a refreshing and welcome change that Windows Phone has not been overlooked by an organization when developing an app. The app will be available for download sometime next week from the Windows Phone Marketplace. As ever, we will let you know the moment it's make an appearance.VIA: WMPU
