Smoked By Windows Phone: Microsoft ups the stake to $1000

Microsoft are taking the Smoked By Windows Phone to another level by raising the stakes in the challenge to $1000, well, more-or-less.

Our lucky friends over the pond have the opportunity to take the Challenge at their local Microsoft Store and stand to win a Hunger Games Special Edition PC (valued at over $1,000) if their smartphone beats Windows Phone. Microsoft are feeling generous here because should you lose the Challenge, you may still walk away with a brand new Windows Phone. The challenges are Pocket-to-Picture-to-Post, Real-Time Information with Live Tiles, Using the People Hub to Stay in Touch with the People You Care About Most, Updating Your Status Across Multiple Social Networks and Local Scout.

This might be a good time to pull out that secret android phone (if you have one that is) or better yet, herd your unconvinced friends and relatives to your local Microsoft Store because they might land themselves an shiny new Windows Phone.
