UK TV presenter Holly Willoughby fronted an intimate ‘Marie Claire@work with Windows Phone’ event which focused on the importance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance, alongside Marie Claire editor Trish Halpin, Balance Me co-founder Rebecca Hopkins and jewellery designer Bec Clarke. Microsoft is obviously making a play for women smartphone users as they sponsored the event which was attended by dozens of Marie Claire readers.
Discussing everything from juggling mummy duties with building a business, to the joy of switching off at night with a glass of wine, to relying on technology and how useful their Windows Phones are, the women shared their tips for success and answered the audiences own savvy questions. Holly spoke about how she always ensures she was home at 5.30pm no matter what and also how she bikes around London so she didn’t lose precious time stuck in traffic. The women also spoke about their smartphones and how they helped them to manage schedules, emails, etc. more effectively.
Some readers will remember that Holly Willoughby already features in one of the Windows Phone television adverts (below) in the UK which has been running for months. She is probably the biggest female TV personality in the UK at present. She fronts several high profile TV shows, including ITV’s This Morning Dancing on Ice.
